North America Power Capacity Ownership Rankings, Trends, and Review: Year-end 2009

The top 50 owners of power generation capacity in North America owned 129 GW of total renewable power generation capacity (including large hydro)-53% of the total renewable capacity installed in North America.  IHS EER tracks over 150 leading utilities and IPP power plant owners by project in over 30 countries. IHS EER's North America renewable power capacity ownership rankings are established annually based on a comparison of these portfolios for power plants located within the US, Canada, and Mexico.
