Phoenix Solar Accelerates Southern European Expansion
German PV provider Phoenix Solar is building on its growing track record in Spain and expanding into the increasingly active Greek market. Phoenix Solar’s ability to quickly deploy its EPC skills and leverage its 2008 module supply position the firm for growth in surging Southern European markets. Provided it has effective partners for permitting and grid connection, Phoenix is expected to become a large-scale PV project provider to major European investors.

Investment in wind power is surging globally, rising from an $8 bn per year plateau from 2002-2004 to more than $18 bn annually on average for 2008-2010, with most of the growth in North America and Asia. The surge is testing the industry’s burgeoning supply chain.
