PV Activity Spikes in Czech Republic

Driven by local development companies, the Czech Republic’s rapid build-out of 49 MW of solar PV in 2008 is capturing the attention of global PV developers and component suppliers. Aiming to capitalize on a generous feed-in tariff—currently CZK12.79/kWh (€0.48/kWh) and adjusted annually—leading global PV developers such as juwi solar and Itochu are tapping into the fragmented, immature market before the window of opportunity closes.
